JOM BEKPES!

Inviting KL's homeless and Chow Kit's less fortunate to JOM BEKPES!

Pretty much everyone has heard the phrase "breakfast is the most important meal of the day", but how many of us actually take the time to grab a healthy bite in the morning?

"While this may just be something some of us simply overlook, there are others who are struggling to find even one meal a day let alone "eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper", as the adage goes", said Institut Onn Ja'afar (IOJ) CEO Charles Mohan

To this end, IOJ are partnering with Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) to feed the homeless and Chow Kit's less fortunate kids in Kuala Lumpur to invite them to start their day on a full belly.

Volunteers from University Selangor, and staff from IOJ and YCK, will be on-hand from as early as 6am to prepare the free food and drinks that will be handed out to the homeless and Chow Kit's less fortunate kids who would be unable to obtain the sustenance they need in any other way.

Less fortunate children will be able to have something to eat and go to class with their bellies full and their minds ready to be filled while homeless adults, such as the youth and elderly who are struggling to get by, can also start the day on the right foot.

They say that there are lot of children that go to school with empty stomachs. This initiative would provide a nice free breakfast for those who need it the most.

Total there is a 43 volunteers from University Selangor will breakfast with 500 homeless and underprivileged people, including children, at KL Krash Pad on Jalan Tungku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Hang Lekiu and Pusat Transit Gelandangan.
